There is really no such thing as “the best”! What there is, is the best for you! Which is an entirely different thing.
I have been a fan of the Panasonic compacts since they first came out, have 3 at the moment, and have never had any problem with any of them. 10mp has nothing to do with picture quality – the processor just processes’ the imagine formed by the Lens. The lens is the single most important part of any camera. The Leica lenses’ in many Panasonic models are very good for compacts. I keep an old 3.2mp Panasonic in my cars glovebox and despite the low mp count this little camera consistently produces fine pinsharp photo’s. It is probably only worth about 30 quid now but it will still outperform many high pixel count cameras at 4x that sum.
You have to use software to print off the picture.

You can ONLY crop your images in post-processing, not in-camera. Or, if you try getting your composition right in the first place, you won’t have the need to crop.
I would like to buy a 10MP compact digital camera – which is the best?
I regularly crop photos, hence the desire to have a 10MP camera. I have been overwhelmed by the number that have come on the market in the last few months and would like some help and advice on which to buy.
None of the main digital camera magasines have done 10MP comparision tests yet and I have not found any comparisons on the web.
From my research the Sony DSC-N2 seems good, as does the Pentax Optio A20. I would love some advice though please!

I kinda fancy this canon powershot sx10is 10mp digital camera, however im wondering does it have a print facility in the camera, some of the canons camera does have that options.
You wont need any pc to print off ur picture, u can do it directly from the cam, now does this camera have that option?
