What is a good and cheap digital camera to purchase?
What do you guys suggest?
Looking in the range from cheapest – possibly 200 (ebay gives good deals lol)
I saw this underwater digital camera that seemed cool, but not sure how the regular picture quality is.
Also found this one: Fuji FinePix Z20fd that seems cheap and high MP.. not sure how it is.
I would suggest one of the following types of cameras:
Canon Powershot
Nikon Coolpix
Kodak EasyShare
Fujifilm FinePix
All of those cameras have basically the same specs and are around the same price. They also come in different sizes and colors. So just find one that you think looks good and is in your price range.
Most of these cameras range from $100-$300.

Where can I get a cheap digital camera that takes AA batteries?
My boyfriend is in the Marines and is about to get deployed in June. I want to get him a cheap digital camera to take with him so he can send some pictures back home. I know he will be a bit rough the camera, so I don’t want to spend a bunch of money on it (No more than about $30). And it has to take AA or AAA batteries. He won’t be able to charge any batteries, and I can always send him AA’s. Any Ideas?
Look on eBay or Amazon.com for an Olympus D-150 (see links, below).
They’re great little pocket-sized cameras with a zoom lens and a sliding front lens cover to keep the sand out, and they take the AA batteries, too.
Once upon a time, they were the state-of-the-art in digital cameras, but now you can get ‘em for around $30 bucks, gently used. And be sure to get the proper cable to connect it to a PC, plus a few of the “SmartMedia” memory cards they use, too, so he’ll have more room for picture storage.
Good luck!… ?
Where can I buy a cheap digital camera online?
I’m looking for a cheap digital camera with over 7MP and under $50.. Is there a website where I can but a cheap one like that, that doesnt use batteries?
Need a cheap digital camera that can hold at least 100-150 pictures?
My friend is going on a trip, and is looking for a cheap digital camera. He doesn’t really want to buy extra memory cards, so he’s looking for a digital camera that would be able to hold 100-150 pictures.
Thanks!
Most any camera out there will suffice. The question is what quality photos do you plan on taking?
If you want photo quality for 4×6 or even 5×7 photos then go with at least a 3.1 MP camera. If you buy a camera make sure that you max out the resolution in the settings. Most cameras allow you to adjust the resolution. If you lower your resolution to 640×480 then effectively you do the math and your MP is equivalent to a .3 MP image…good for email and that’s about it…no printing!
I don’t know your definition of “cheap”. I know Best Buy has a Canon Powershot 7.1MP camera on sale for $179. It comes with a 32MB card. For sake of argument you can plan on each photo taking up 1MB of space. If you buy a 256MB card then you can hold 200+ photos very easily.
I don’t like Kodak because their cameras feel and look very cheap. Nikon point and shoot cameras in my experience have a slow flash memory…they blur images in fast motion much more than other cameras. I have always been partial to Canon.
Truth is any camera would suffice today. Pick the resolution on your camera settings that most closely equals 3 million pixels. If you max out a 7MP camera then you will hold less photos but have a higher quality photo for printing. A 256MB card should be fine unless you go to a higher resolution camera, then I would go with at least a 512MB card.
